Lumi Panaite Fahey brings over 15 years of invaluable experience to Sherwin O’Riordan as a Senior Associate and the Head of the Family Law Department. Her expertise spans Family Law, Personal Injury, and Medical Negligence, making her a trusted advocate for her clients.

Lumi holds an LLB in Irish Law, a Master’s in International Commercial Law, and a Diploma in Mediation. Since 2004, she has been an Accredited Translator and Interpreter, fluent in Romanian and Italian, with working language skills in Spanish. Her diverse language abilities allow her to cater to a wide range of clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the legal process.

In 2010, Lumi became an Accredited Mediator and furthered her qualifications by becoming a Legal Executive in 2015 as a full member of MIILeX, the Irish Legal Executive Institute. She received a full scholarship to the Law Society of Ireland and qualified in 2020.

Lumi possesses extensive experience across various legal areas, including Family Law, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Debt Recovery, Immigration Law, Succession and Probate Law, and Criminal Law. She is adept at drafting Powers of Attorney in multiple languages, enhancing her versatility as a legal professional.

In addition to her legal practice, Lumi is committed to mentorship and community involvement. She serves as a Mentor with The Women in Leadership initiative at the Law Society and with Griffith College. She is an active member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association, the Romanian Community of Ireland, and the Romanian Females Community in Ireland. Lumi also serves as a local Councillor and is a member of the External Board Committee of Dublin Technological University and ICM UK.
